Lotus Notes not for the faint of heart

You know that feeling? The client knocks on the door asking you to create a newsletter for their company. Sure, no problem! This would be your first response, after all you allready created tons of them…
But then the client has a horrifying newsflash for you… It must work in Outlook (no probs) AND in Lotus Notes 6.5!!! :| Lotus What?!

OK the kind bloke as I am, tells the client not to worry, we will fix it all. Days and days go by coding newsletters in even more basic HTML than even outlook 2007 needs, because Lotus Notes even manages to f*ck that up…
Three days later… Still struggling to fix the Lotus Notes issues, finally desided to bring a collegue in but still.. Also he is stunned by the stupidity how Lotus renders the templates. I mean how difficult is it to render a 5px high image to a 5px high image? Apperantly very, because lotus desides to make it a 8px image :|

Stick a fork in me, I’m done!

    haha LotusKlotus dus. Maar je kunt het niet in een ander programma fixen. ook al heeft de klant LotusNotes? Misschie eentje waarbij hij ook gelijk in Lotus Notes goed wordt gemaakt. Maja het zijn inderdaad niet de leukste dingen dat!

    Was het maar zo’n feest dat er een proggie bestond die het automatisch goed maakte voor Klotus Notes, maar helaas het bestaat niet…
    Dus dan maar oude school en alles on-trial-and-error bouwen!
